Cape Clear Integrates Salesforce.com
By ASPnews.com Staff

July 8, 2002

Stating that the new era of integration has begun, Web services infrastructure software provider Cape Clear Software, today announced an agreement to provide Web Services-based integration with Salesforce.com's customer relationship management (CRM) software.

The goal of the agreement is to allow Salesforce.com customers to use Cape Clear's integrated Web Services development environment, CapeStudio, to link their CRM application to other systems and applications throughout the enterprise. CapeStudio is designed to simplify the development, integration, and deployment of Web Services applications using XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI.

For example, enterprises can link their Salesforce.com data to other applications such as finance, human resources and manufacturing. Using Web services technology, such application integration is designed to be less costly and time-consuming than traditional enterprise application integration (EAI) solutions.

"The fundamentals of how companies purchase, use and integrate enterprise software applications are changing," said Annrai O'Toole, CEO of Campbell, Calif.-based Cape Clear Software. "Web Services is pioneering fast and affordable integration of applications and systems across the enterprise."

"By enabling firms to access customer information online in real-time and coupling that with the ability to run reports at the click of a mouse, Salesforce.com is able to reduce costs and improve productivity over traditional CRM implementations," said Cary Fulbright, senior vice president of Marketing and Products at San Francisco-based Salesforce.com. "With Cape Clear's Web Services technology, the enterprise's information assets become accessible to everyone across the organization."

Salesforce.com is listed by ASPnews as a Top 20 Provider.
