Oracle application outsourcing specialist Appshop on Monday announced a sales and marketing partnership with professional services and eLearning provider RWD Technologies.

Appshop and RWD will offer their integrated eLearning products and customized training services to Oracle customers across the United States. The combined training solution includes expert implementation, full 11i Web-based training, and creative blended learning solutions.

"Appshop's E Learning program in an online tutorial that allows Oracle users to log in at their convenience and go through Apps lessons online. This is a huge savings, because companies can train new employees or refresh training as needed, with no expensive classroom costs. RWD offers very sophisticated reporting, analysis and educational offerings that dovetail beautifully with our product," Sherry Frandle, Appshop Senior Director, told ASPnews. "Users can train on our product. They can then be tested, measured and/or analyzed by RWD for union or government compliance, internal training requirements or individual merit requirements. The company can see at a glance how an individual or an entire division is trained. This partnership maximizes every training dollar."

Appshop, the largest independent Oracle outsourcing company, provides a variety of off-the-shelf business training programs for Oracle users. RWD Technologies will use its background in customized training solutions to take these prepackaged programs and adapt them to each customer's unique training requirements.

"We welcome the opportunity to team with Appshop, a company that has built a solid reputation among Oracle users," said Gary Walker, vice president of RWD's Enterprise Systems Group. "We see a powerful synergy between our companies because of RWD's experience providing end users with high caliber training and customized solutions and Appshop's extensive suite of Oracle compatible training programs for use throughout the enterprise."

The two companies will provide an integrated solution that combines Appshop's end-to-end professional services, hosting, functional and technical 24/7 support, and ongoing maintenance with RWD's blended learning products and automated documentation toolsets. Together, Appshop and RWD have the capabilities to offer their learning and training solutions to more than 4,000 Oracle application clients across the United States.

"We will offer this combination to all of our customers, as we do with each of our partner offerings. Appshop chooses alliances carefully, and we consider possible client needs when we make our choices. We are already courting mutual prospects with RWD, so we expect this relationship to be very successful," Frandle said. "RWD, in turn, can offer not only the Appshop E learning product, but introduce our extraordinary Outsourcing and Professional Service capabilities to its Oracle install base, and new prospects."
