Mar 15th 2000: ASP franchise operator ZLand.com announced a new version of its e-business suite for small and mid-sized companies this week. The enhancements to the online marketing, e-commerce and operations suite include features introduced as a result of its recent acquisition of two software vendors. We believe this new enhanced suite of web-based business solutions clearly demonstrates that ZLand.com is delivering on its vision of e-business for everyone, commented Glenn Abood, the companys president and COO. The first new modules of the product, which is delivered as an application service, will be available later this month. End user pricing for a complete solution including service and support starts at $1,395 for set up and a monthly payment of $195 per company irrespective of size. ZLand.com markets its services through an international network of franchises, operating in Australia, Germany and Japan as well as thirty cities across the USA. The suite comprises 160 template-based, customizable software applications, accessed through a PC browser client. New features include webcasting, an electronic catalog system and payroll management integrated with a third party payroll processing service. Recent acquisitions by ZLand.com have enabled the addition of customer relationship management features. Another new feature allows integration of online order entry with order processing on a companys existing back-office business systems. Customer Mike Flanagan of Gatortec Advertising Specialties said that ZLand.coms PowerSuite has enabled his company to increase revenues by 40% in just six months. We are leveraging the power of the Internet to better serve our customers and reduce internal operating costs, he said. The offering comes on the heels of new acquisitions and a $20m funding round completed in December, which included contributions from SVM Star Ventures, Deutsche Bank Alex.Brown's BT Investment Partners and Credit Suisse First Boston. In December, ZLand.com acquired ActionWare, a developer of workplace automation and contract activity management software and EMT, a reseller of software and services focusing on customer relationship management, sales automation and contact management. In late January, it went on to acquire the VersaPro business accounting system from its developer Central Technologies Inc (CTI). In February, the company sealed a one-year licensing agreement with POPcast Communications Corp., a leading ASP in the Webcasting market. That technology is now included in ZLand.coms suite, providing businesses cost-effective access to multimedia technologies for promoting their products and services over the Internet.
